What We DoProject Literacy Douglas County provides the opportunity for Douglas County residents to develop literacy skills through individually tailored programs. These skills include Basic Reading, Basic Math, Writing, English as a Second Language, and Basic Computer courses. For more information see Our Mission.
Classes We OfferProject Literacy offers basic computer classes taught by volunteer instructors. These classes are not at the same level as those taught at UCC, but are a good choice for those who are not attending college, and want basic information on how to use a word processor to write letters to family or friends, or how to use a spreadsheet program to keep track of their records. See our Class Schedule for more info.
Tutoring ServicesProject Literacy offers one-on-one tutoring by trained volunteers for those who want to improve their literacy skills. These skills can help them on a daily basis with such things as learning how to deal with money, making change and writing checks. We also offer GED classes and Oregon Driver's License written exam classes. For details, see our Tutoring Information page.
